Illustrator-Elaine Rabon- visits Laurens County Library

On March 29th the Laurens County Library will present Elaine Hearn Rabon a children's picture book illustrator from Athens, Georgia.  She will talk about her art and what inspired her to become interested in the art form of children's picture books.  This program is part of the S.M.A.R.T. family programming for the enjoyment of families with children ages 2-12.  Mrs. Rabon will talk about Tim and Sally the main characters of her books.  They are a brother and sister team who enjoy everyday life.  This program will be held on a Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.  This is an opportunity to have fun and learn as a family.  Join us at the Laurens County Library meeting room to welcome Elaine Hearn Rabon.  Family members are encouraged to ask questions that relate to art, drawing and book publishing.  Two of the books illustrated by Mrs. Rabon are available for check out at the Laurens and Clinton libraries.  The two titles are Tim and Sally's Year in Poems and Tim and Sally's Beach Adventure.   Pam Bennett, Children's Coordinator
